Hockey night in Canada

Engaging in the workplace
Talk about disengagement. David Zwinger, a speaker on the topic of Engagement, spoke at our institution yesterday as part of an in-service staff development day. He opened his keynote presentation with a haiku poem about being REALLY disengaged at the workplace:
I sit in my cubicle
Envying the dead
Only 2 hours to go
It was a good presentation and made me think about being really CONNECTED...

He was in our bed at 6:30am beeping and bahhing, babbling away in contentment to be with his papa and mama after a night away in his room. I am bleary eyed at work, but very happy to be woken up in such a way.
